For Jesus, life was always about deep dedication to God’s will.  Being human, he lived life ever mindful of this understanding that real salvation was found in a life dedicated to God’s will.  And knowing that this would lead him to suffering, rejection and crucifixion.  He prayed for all.  In my Lent prayers I’ve reflected on Pastor Allende’s call for the need to “pray more” and that “Faith is the glue that holds people together”. I think of the ways my “free will” has kept me from being more dedicated to God’s will for me.  Mathew 6:6 – But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut the door pray to your Father…

Lord, I pray for your help with my distractions of “free will”, to open my eyes and ears to your lessons to come before you more fully, and to let your light shine within me so that I can share your forgiving love for us with others.  Amen
