Lent: A Journey towards love….
“No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us and His love is truly in our hearts.” -1 John 4:12
Diana was a strong woman who often hid her deep pain and suffering from those around her. In the weeks that followed Diana’s loss of her husband to cancer, she strangely found that parking lots were safe havens for her grief. One day, as she was placing her order at a coffee drive-thru, a wave of sadness overwhelmed her like a tidal wave. Diana could barely catch her breath and she began to sob. The worst part was that she was at the one place where all the workers were young and happy as they cranked out coffee orders to loud music. And if it could get any worst, she was blocked in by other customers and there was no way out. Trapped! She was about to be seen by young happy people for the grieving mess she was. As Diana, red eyed, pulled up to the window, a young girl handed Diana an iced coffee. When Diana looked down, she saw a pink straw with a simple note that wrapped around it which read, “We love you!”
