I pray for health, especially for those recovering from COVID, RSV, the flu and other respiratory illnesses.

I pray for the people of Syria and Turkey who are suffering from the aftermath of an earthquake.

I give thanks for the Oak tree in my back yard. It keeps us shaded and cooler in the summer and drops branches for summer and fall marshmallow roasts.

Many of my children’s friends have joined the military. I pray for their health and well-being.

A collect for peace from the book of common prayer.

O God, the author of peace and lover of concord, to know you is eternal life and to serve you is perfect freedom: Defend us, your humble servants, in all assaults of our enemies; that we, surely trusting in your defense, may not fear the power of any adversaries, through the might of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
