Dear Lord, just as you have tried all those who have proclaimed your Love in the world, we find ourselves in a time of trial. In the bleakest season, we as Christians must seek You out and reaffirm our connection to You. Through trial and failure, we may get our clearest glimpses of Your presence in all we see.
Dear Lord, we your people pledge to find hope and courage in a time of great despair and grief. We will strive to find strength by knowing you are near us always, and with this strength we will do our work to give comfort to the aggrieved, food to the hungry, and Love to all we find as we go about our lives.
These things we pledge as we grow closer to you, O Lord.
